Archive

The archive of the Wolfson Foundation is professionally managed by the Royal Society, through their library in Carlton House Terrace, London. It consists of information relating to the Foundation (including all grant files) from the Foundation's conception in 1955 to 1980. The archive's catalogue is searchable on the Royal Society website.

Files can be accessed by permission of the Wolfson Foundation, and if you would like to access the archive, please be in touch with the Foundation in the first instance, either in writing to the office (labelled 'Archives Enquiry') or by telephone (020 7323 5730), indicating the files of interest to you.

For further information on the history the Foundation, you may wish to consult the publication Sixty Years of Philanthropy produced for our 60th anniversary.

There is a Royal Society blog on the online catalogue, published when the catalogue was launched in February 2013.
