DCMS Wolfson Museums and Galleries Improvement Fund

DCMS Wolfson Museums and Galleries Improvement Fund

The Museums and Galleries Improvement Fund was established in partnership with the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) in 2000 to improve the quality of displays, exhibition spaces, collection interpretation and disabled access in museums and galleries across England.

To date, the partnership has committed some £44 million to the improvement of 382 museums and galleries across England. The programme is jointly funded by the Wolfson Foundation and DCMS. Eligible organisations are able to apply for grants of up to £300,000 for capital projects aimed at improving the display and accessibility of their collections.

The deadline for applications has now passed. For further information about the Fund see the gov.uk website page.
