The Stowe House Preservation Trust has been working to conserve and restore Stowe House, and was awarded a grant of £100,000 in 2010 towards the State Rooms. This phase of the restoration work was developed in partnership with World Monuments Fund Britain, and the exterior and interior repairs cover the Library, the State Music Room, the State Dining Room, the Temple Room and the Blue Room.

The Stowe estate has also been funded by the Wolfson Foundation's joint funding programme with the National Trust. In 2007 £100,000 was awarded to Stowe Landscape Gardens towards the restoration of the Grotto.

Such investments demonstrate the Foundation's interest in both safeguarding and opening up the country's built heritage.
